Question: (0 answers)
Happy 4th! I just wanted to share a neat free service that I heard about. Through this site, you can send free postcards to anyone...either upload your own picture or choose from sample pics. Type your message & the address of who you want to send it to. (You do have to set up a free account)...it's pretty neat. They are on glossy paper, so I've sent some to myself so we can frame the pics/put them in scrapbook. Pretty cool (oh, there is a small ad on the back; that's what pays the postage - but hey, it's totally free for you!...they do say there is a limit of the amount of cards that can be sent each day, but I've had no issue so far):

I've got a few cans of white beans that I don't know how to use. For some reason I think I've seen a recipe (maybe on a cooking show) for a white bean dip. Never tried it but it sounds interesting. Have any of you ever tried a white bean dip or have a recipe to share? Thanks!

I'm planning on making the Jalapeno Poppers Spread for a bbq tommorow. Has anyone made it the night before, and baked it right before serving?

Question: (1 answer)
happy 4th of july/ independence day to all. hope you have a safe day and evening with the goodies kiddies and lit(e)s
I'm looking for a pie recipe that you let set on the counter for an hour or that has to be refrigerated and it generates its own crust from the ingredients instead of rolling out dough for pastry. HELP! PLZ?

Question: (1 answer)
So I just made the Pina Colada Cake III on this site. It smells fabulous and looks great, but I have a feeling it may not come out of the bundt pan too easily and all in one piece! Does anyone have any suggestions of how to get a cake out of a bundt pan successfuly? Should I keep it in there for an hour or two or put it in the fridge perhaps? HELP!!!

I have a multi-part question: My MIL is having a baby shower for my SIL on Sunday afternoon. I have already said I would bring a fruit platter with some dip, so I have that covered, but I really want to make some meringues as well. So here we go: I am wanting to try and make mini bite size pavlovas. Is this even possible? If I can't then is there any way to make the meringues fruit flavoured, without losing their texture? And lastly, how far in advance can I make them? I am one of the most impatient people going, so of course I want to make them RIGHT NOW! lol TIA

Question: (1 answer)
After work last night I finished cleaning fresh strawberries (ice cream bucket full). I made 3 batches of homemade jelly, 4 batches of granola, 1 batch of the cream cheese/whipping cream filling to go with the rest of the fresh strawberries. I am in heaven. I am also very tired. If you get the chance you really have to try this recipe. I had posted it early and not sure if anyone got the chance to make it????
Homemade granola: 1/2 cup butter/marg. (melted), 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup of sliced almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min. Stirring often.
Filling: 1 -8oz. cream cheese, 2 cups whipping cream, 2 T. lemon juice, and 1/2 cup sugar. Whip until thick. Serve over fresh fruit A(strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.) Add the granola just before serving. I keep a container of the granola on hand sealed in a air tight contain-I have also kept it in the freezer. We had it to ice cream or yogurt. YUMMY!
